Sun Gazing
Sun gazing is a way to move into a greater understanding that your health and wellness can be assisted by looking directly at the sun ONLY during the first hour the sun is up or during the last hour the sun is visible. And it’s FREE!
Why would anyone even want to look directly at the sun? it seems like forever, we have been taught NOT to look directly at the sun with naked eyes. We’ve also been programmed to wear sun glasses when we do not need them. Of course, there are times when we must protect our eyes, like when we are on surfaces like snow and water and we must protect our eyes from the glare or reflection of the sun which can harm the naked eye. There are times though, when the sun has healing qualities and when we tap into this, we benefit from a direct connection with it.
I am providing information about the practice of sun gazing because I actually did it. In my life, I have been both adventurous and cautious. I began a program in metaphysics in September of 2024. During the work in my Science of Metaphysics bachelor’s degree I completed a course called Breatharianism. This is where I learned about the benefits of sun gazing and I knew that I had to try it!
Breatharians are people who actually live on the energy of the sun, air and earth. They go through a process to be able to do this. While at this time in my life, I do not desire to quit eating, I have gone on a 21 day water fast and felt amazing during and after the water fast ended. I also began the 270 day sun gazing program only to have to stop on day 244 because I moved locations. My new location did not provide the quality I needed in order to have a healthy and positive sun gazing experience. One day I will complete the 270 day sun gazing program. Maybe I will even start all over, providing I have 270 days in a row where I have the conditions that I require to complete it. Or maybe I will just continue with day 245 until I reach day 270. In the Breatharian course it stated that if you complete 270 days of sungazing, you will have healed your body 100% and will never have to do it again. That’s certainly incentive to give it a go!
Here are some guidelines to sun gazing:
1. Be in an area where you will have 270 days of sun.
2. Choose a time when you will be able to spend the time sun gazing either at sunrise or sunset.
3. Commit to 270 days of sun gazing from that first day.
4. On a calendar or agenda record your progress after each day of sun gazing.
5. Continue the process until you reach 45 minutes of sun gazing which is 270 days in total.
6. Start with only 10 seconds on your first day and increase your sun gazing by 10 seconds every day.
7. Use a timer to record the time you will spend. Your phone has an accurate timer.
8. Stand with bare feet on the bare ground, the real earth, not asphalt or concrete.
9. Look directly at the sun with bare eyes and nothing on your head for the entire time.
10. Wear natural fiber clothing during sun gazing.
11. Be in an area with clean soil, plants or trees and air where you can see the full sun for the entire time of sun gazing.
12. Keep all electronics or anything that has a battery like a watch off your body.
13. Don’t wear jewelry. If you have jewelry on, place it on the ground while you sun gaze.
Some benefits of sun gazing may include: a feeling of lightness and calmness, peace and serenity, motivation to succeed in whatever you desire, answers from the energy of the sun, a sacred connection with the planet and the sun, solutions to dilemmas that seemed to have evaded you and looking younger! Yes, one of the benefits of sun gazing is that you actually visually look younger. It’s a very satisfying process and one that when you have the time, you must commit to it.
The only thing that may prevent you from giving 270 consecutive days to sun gazing is your climate or if you live in an area that is compromised with concrete and pollution. Obviously, if the ground is frozen for a portion of the year, you will not be able to complete the 270 days in a row because you have to stand with bare feet on the ground when you look directly at the sun. This connection with your bare feet on the ground keeps you safe while you sun gaze. Also, if you live in a city or in an area that is industrial based, it is not suitable for sun gazing as you need a healthy area to begin and continue your sun gazing program to have the best experience. On the days when it was raining or overcast, I still committed to my sun gazing routine even though ideally, I preferred access to full sun. Eventually I became wiser and committed to sun gazing at sundown when it wasn’t overcast or raining even though I preferred to sun gaze in the morning.
We have been taught some things that aren’t true. This often happens when someone believes something even though they never actually tried that thing. This is why I always try things that interest me. I want to know what happens. And because I work in conjunction with Spirit always, I KNOW when it’s safe to do something and when it’s not. You may understand this as your intuition or your sense of knowing. We must always feel what is right for us and do that.
