I am passionate about helping myself while assisting people in improving their lives. I enjoy helping them with great physical, mental/emotional and spiritual wellness which aids in creating better lives. I understand that while some methods work for some people, they do not work for everyone. Some methods work because even though we all came from energy, many of us differ physically.

As a spiritual being having a human experience, you must be aware of how things feel to you. Choose what feels good or right for you. Creating a better or healthier life can be as simple as that.

Here are some methods I have used to create a healthier lifestyle:

1. Water Fast. I did a water fast for 21 days. When you stop feeding your body, either solids or liquids, it goes into autophagy, a state where your body cells begin an internal cleanup process. This literally removes or recycles any damaged or unnecessary cellular structures inside your body. If you choose to do this, make sure you can dedicate the time it takes to complete the fast, however long you choose to participate in the fast. If you take any medications, it would be in your best interest to work with someone who has been educated in this area and is qualified to assist you during your water fast. Also understand that if you feel like you’re done the water fast before your planned time, then listen to that feeling and stop the water fast. That’s your intuition and body telling you it’s done with the fast. I found that by day eight I began to have much stronger intuition and had some pretty amazing spiritual experiences. I also felt extremely alert and had a lot of energy most of the time. When I did not, I rested. It was a lot of fun, believe it or not.

2. Liver Cleanse. Drink warm lemon water first thing in the morning. Wait 20 minutes before consuming anything else. Why? Warm lemon water is a liver cleanser. The time you wait after you drink the lemon water gets to work without having to digest anything else. If you’re having health issues, especially with excess fat, it's a good idea to begin cleaning your liver before you do anything else. Your internal organs, especially your liver is very useful when it's healthy. When it's not, your physical health will not be the best it can be. When I ran out of lemons, all I had were grapefruits so I used those instead. They worked just as well as lemons. I actually enjoyed the warm grapefruit water more than the lemon water.

3. Treat Your Skin With Kindness. Stop putting chemicals on your skin. I quit using makeup, sunscreen, and even shampoo. I loved the challenge of the no makeup look. It’s definitely something to get used to, especially if you usually use makeup to get that extra sparkle. Instead of using shampoo, I use a baking soda paste to wash my hair once a week. To use the baking soda and water paste, apply it to dry hair, wet your hair with a small amount of water, massage the paste in and then wash it off. When I want to liven up my hair a bit, I spritz rain water on my hair or rinse it with tap water. I do not rinse it with tap water if the water where I am in is really hard. For my facial skin’s health, I make my own moisturizer from organic shea butter, apricot kernel oil, and castor oil. I warm these 3 ingredients in a glass jar in a warm water bath in a pot on the stove. Once it’s melted and combined, I let it cool to ensure it’s more solid than liquid. Ratios are about 4 or 5 parts shea butter, 1 part castor oil, and 1part apricot oil. You can use any oils you prefer. I have added coconut oil to my face moisturizer mixture but I found that it was too oily. If the mixture is too thin, I put the glass jar back in the water bath, add more shea butter and allow it to melt until it’s combined completely. To apply, I use a spoon to remove a small portion of the mixture from the glass jar, add one drop of frankincense essential oil and rub the ingredients between the palms of my hands before I apply it to my face and neck. I rub it in about 50 times in a circular motion in these areas after applying it to my face and neck: over my entire face, around my eyes (gently of course), on both sides of my nose, around my mouth, from the bottom of my neck to my jawline and along my jawline from the bottoms of my ears to the middle of my chin. I do this every night. I only do it in the morning if my skin is very dry but usually it's not.

4. Quit Wearing Sunglasses (but not all the time). Some optometrists and ophthalmologists (eye doctors) know that sunglasses actually fool the eyes and body into thinking it’s dark out. When it’s dark out, your body’s skin feels like it doesn’t need to protect itself from the sun so you most likely will get sunburned if you wear dark sunglasses without protecting your skin. When I quit wearing sunscreen, I quit wearing sunglasses too. As a result, my skin just got brown. If I was getting too dark, I wore a hat, long sleeved shirt, pants and even covered my neck. Or, I stayed out of the sun from 10 AM until 2 PM, which is when the sun’s rays are the strongest. Sometimes we cannot stop being exposed to the sun at these times so we must be mindful of how we can protect ourselves from the damage the sun could create for us if we're not aware of the harm that could occur. Obviously, this may not work for very fair skinned people, however, I have known some people with light skin who turn light brown instead of burning because they wore hats and did not indulge in wearing sunglasses. However, there are times when you must wear sunglasses to protect your eyes. Some examples are when you are skiing on snow and it's really bright out, on the water or when it is impossible to see because you are driving into the sunrise or sunset. Failure to wear sunglasses when you need them can result in damage to your eyes. I had a friend who was snow blind for one week because she did not wear her ski goggles when it was bright and sunny out when she was skiing in the mountains. Be sure to wear the correct lenses when you need ski goggles or sunglasses.

5. Sun Gazing. I started sun gazing after taking a Breatharian course. Breatharians are people who live off the energy from the air, sun and the earth. They don't drink or eat. Seriously! Although I haven’t stopped eating or drinking, I do require less food and liquids than ever before. How do you sun gaze and why would you do it? Sun gazing is an ancient technique and is one way you can improve your health and heal your body. Sun gazing also helps you tap into the energy of the sun, air and earth to sustain your health and wellbeing. It actually helps you feel REALLY good! To sun gaze it’s best to begin with an understanding that the full cycle of sun gazing takes 270 days. You begin sun gazing for 10 seconds on the first day and add 10 seconds every day until you reach 270 days which works out to 45 minutes in total. You MUST stand with bare feet on the bare ground, like on dirt or grass, NOT on a sealed surface like asphalt, concrete, wood or tile because you must connect with the energy of the earth. Standing on the earth with bare fee helps protect you while you sun gaze. When you sun gaze, you only do it during the first hour the sun is up or during the last hour before the sun sets. The first hour and last hour of sun are the only hours the sun will not harm your eyes. To begin, stand with bare feet on the ground (dirt or grass), start a timer for 10 seconds and look at the sun with bare eyes, even if you wear prescription glasses you look at the sun without glasses. Sometimes, I got pretty bored standing there staring at the sun so I did some exercises while I looked at the sun. Sometimes I just stood there and enjoyed the sun. I even saw halos of energy around the trees leaves when I sun gazed near trees. Other times I received messages from the sun. I heard the messages in my mind. In the course I took it stated that once you do the entire 270 days of sun gazing, you are healed 100% and will never have to do it again. I definitely feel better, require less sleep and less food and I feel much more positive. One of the best things about the effects of sun gazing for me is that my facial skin actually looks younger! There have been times when I had a dilemma and received the answer while I sun gazed. I truly enjoy sun gazing.

6. Prebiotics and Probiotics. Add prebiotics and probiotics to your diet to create great health. Adding prebiotic foods that contain non-digestible dietary fiber helps nourish beneficial gut bacteria. Apples, celery, garlic, onions, oats, chicory, asparagus and bananas are all prebiotic foods. Prebiotics help probiotics work. Probiotics are live microorganisms, like bacteria and yeasts that help improve or maintain the body’s good gut bacteria because they help support and create a healthy gut. Probiotic foods are kimchi, sauerkraut, and kombucha. They are great for gut health because they contain the bacteria your gut needs for excellent health. When your gut’s not healthy, you will become ill more easily so if you find yourself fatigued or easily catching flu bugs and colds, start by working on improving your gut health first. When your gut is not healthy you will feel like your stomach gets upset, you may have flatulence or you may feel bloated after eating. Add prebiotic and probiotic foods gradually, if they are not already a part of your diet, as you want to move toward healing your gut's microbiome. Avoid bombarding your gut it with too much stimuli by starting with small amounts and gradually building up more prebiotic foods. A small amount of probiotics like a spoonful of sauerkraut or kimchi will be highly beneficial. Be aware that some sauerkraut is made with vinegar which may not be beneficial to everyone's gut. Making your own or finding some without vinegar is a great beginning, if you like sauerkraut.

7. Meditate or sit quietly every morning. It helps set the tone for your day. If you feel like you’re too busy or that the morning is not the best time for you to meditate, then do the meditation at the end of your day, to bring your energy back into your mind, body and soul. One of my preferred ways to shift my mindset when it’s coming from a place of fear or negativity is the in and out breath meditation. It’s very simple, quick and easy. Take one of your favourite positive words. On the in breath, say or think this statement, I breathe in love. Out the out breath say or think, fear is released. Continue this cycle until you feel your energy shifts to positivity. Don’t be surprised if you begin to yawn or your eyes release tears while you do this in and out breath meditation. It shows that you are actually releasing the negative issue. Use this method throughout the day and allow your life to become easier, more enjoyable and peaceful.

8. Say no to anything that feels off or wrong for you. Learn to walk away from anything or anyone that causes you stress, anxiety, fear, worry, or disrupts your life. You will thank yourself later when your life is so positive, peaceful and amazing. You will wonder why you never did this before! It takes practice, especially when you are used to helping people and forget to help yourself first.

These are just some ideas that could help you create a healthier and a more mindful lifestyle. Remember, you are not meant to try every method people suggest to you, no matter who they are. You must trust your gut instinct, intuition, and knowing and go with what feels right or best for you. Understanding and trusting yourself is your greatest strength.

Enjoy your life as you begin to create a life filled with love, positivity, peace, ease and great health!

Love ya!
